Outdoor Learning Conference
At the International School of Düsseldorf, we are passionate about outdoor learning. Our outdoor learning program has been developing over the last ten years. Today, our elementary school has outdoor provision from reception to grade 5. We are the only international school in Europe to have outdoor learning developed to such an extent. Our aim is to bring together a community of educators who want to create or develop similar programs in their own schools.
The Outdoor Learning Conference 2018 schedule will feature:
- Keynote – The importance of doing what you can do.
- Outdoor learning in action (Early Years through to Grade 5)
- Practical workshops including tool use, fire lighting & basic construction techniques.
- In-depth unit examples
- Round table discussions, including what is happening at other schools
- Learning space development
- Examining outdoor learning research to support the development of outdoor learning.
